Levels use thresholds
Discord currently unlocks Level 1 at 2 boosts, Level 2 at 7 and Level 3 at 14. Higher levels include the lower-level perks.
Server boosts are ongoing allocations that unlock server-level perks or certain additional perks. The server must keep enough boosts allocated to maintain what it has unlocked.
No keyword soup. Just the part that changes the decision.
Discord currently unlocks Level 1 at 2 boosts, Level 2 at 7 and Level 3 at 14. Higher levels include the lower-level perks.
Server Tags and Enhanced Role Styles currently require 3 boosts each. Those boosts are separate from the ones allocated to level progression.
Server owners and admins can move available boosts between levels and additional perks. That flexibility also means a server can lose a perk if the required allocation is moved away.
